Special representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko held a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Africa to Ukraine Mr. Chupu Stenley Mathabatha
During the meeting the Sides exchanged views on the state and prospects of the development of bilateral relations. The Sides emphasized the intensification of trade and economic cooperation between the two states and the increase of bilateral trade turnover to $ 218 mln in 2011. The Sides also expressed the common view on the need to deepen the cooperation between Ukraine and South Africa in political, economic and educational spheres. Also the Sides agreed to hold political consultations on Deputy Foreign Minister’s level in Kyiv this May.
