On June 21, 2010 Deputy Foreign Minister Oleksandr Horin received the non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Ukraine Mohammed Al-Helali.

During the meeting the Sides reconfirmed their intention to develop relations and underlined the huge unused potential for bilateral cooperation, namely in the sphere of tourism, capital construction, education and investments.

M.Al-Helali informed about the intention of the Yemen Government to open the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Yemen in Kyiv.

The Sides exchanged views on the current developments in the Middle East and on the Israeli-Palestinian settlement.

The Ambassador of Yemen briefed about actual internal situation in Yemen and about the actions taken by the Government in order to provide stabilization after the seizure of hostilities in the North of the country.
