On 13 February Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Sergiy Kyslytsya  received in Kyiv OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier. During the meeting the two sides discussed issues of further OSCE engagement in de-escalating situation in Donbass.

Sergiy Kyslytsya underlined that the Minsk arrangements, if they are properly implemented, can form a solid foundation for the peaceful settlement process in Donbas. In this regard the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine’s role in conducting effective monitoring and verification of the Minsk arrangement implementation was emphasized. The other important task of the mission remains informing the international community in an objective manner on the development of the situation in Ukraine.

The OSCE Secretary General, in his turn, confirmed the readiness of the OSCE to provide all possible support to the peaceful process in Ukraine, as well as to utilize all OSCE’s instruments and capabilities to fulfill tasks, set forth in the Minsk agreements.
