On 29 November 2010 Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Mykytenko received the copies of Credentials from the first in the history of diplomatic relations Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania cross-accredited to Ukraine Mr. Sidi Mohammed Оuld Thaleb Amar.

During the meeting the Sides discussed the prospects of the bilateral cooperation in fishery, trade and military-technical spheres. The Sides emphasized on their readiness to develop active political dialogue between Ukraine and Mauritania.
