On November 23 in the framework of the official visit to the Libyan Jamahiriya of Mykola Azarov, Prime-minister of Ukraine, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Mykytenko and his Libyan colleague Mohamed Siala had a round of political consultations, during which a wide range of international affairs was discussed, as well as the issues of bilateral cooperation.

The same day the parties initialed the Agreement on visa exemption for citizens holding diplomatic and service passports.
