On May 5th 2010 in the framework of the working visit to Italy the First Deputy Minister V.Khandogiy met with the General Director of the General Department for the Countries of Europe of the MFA of Italy Mario Bova.

The parties discussed the state and perspectives of the development of bilateral relations and the schedule of political contacts on the highest and high levels. In particular, the sides discussed the agenda of the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine K.Hryshchenko to Italy which is planned for June of this year.

A special attention was focused on the possibilities of interacting between the two countries in the matters relating to the process of reforming of the UN Security Council.

The Italian side confirmed its readiness for rendering further support to the approval by the institutions of the EU of the “road map” on visa free regime between Ukraine and EU as well as advancement of other important issues of the agenda in the relations between Ukraine and EU.
