The counterparts discussed the schedule of Ukraine-Portugal contacts for the current year and the completion of the bilateral agreements scheduled for conclusion in the near future.
Discussing the situation in the East of Ukraine, B.Maçães stressed on resolute support by his country of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In this regard, Nataliia Galibarenko noted that staring the EU civil-military mission for proper implementation of Minsk agreements would be a major contribution of the EU in stabilizing the situation in Donbas.
The sides exchanged views on expected outcomes of the Riga "Eastern Partnership" summit in May this year, including prospects of implementation by the EU of visa requirements for citizens of Ukraine.
B.Maçães confirmed resolute support of Ukraine's European integration by the Portuguese side saying that the ratification of Ukraine-EU Association Agreement by the Parliament of Portugal should be held before the Riga Summit.
