Deputy Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko met with the State Secretary of the Federal Foreign Office Stephan Steinlein, who is leading the delegation of German State Secretaries to Ukraine (1-2 October 2015).
«Our visit indicates that the German Government sees Ukraine as a key partner and will provide necessary support of reforms in Ukraine» - said Mr Steinlein at the meeting.
The interlocutors discussed the situation in the east of Ukraine as well as perspectives of Ukrainian-German cooperation. Special attention was paid to the necessity of a deeper economic interaction, particularly to Ukrainian-German Economic Forum on 23 October in Berlin.
Both sides also expressed their hope for positive results of the Normandy meeting at the highest level in Paris today. S.Steinlein confirmed the German Government’s position that sanctions against the RF can be reconsidered only after full implementation of the Minsk Agreements.
