On October 12, 2010 Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Mykytenko received the Ambassador of the State of Israel Zina Kalai-Klaitman.

During the meeting Yevhen Mykytenko handed over to the Israeli Side a verbal note informing that the Ukrainian Side fulfilled its internal procedures necessary for entry into force by the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the State of Israel on the Waiver of Visa Requirements for Holders of National and Service Passports of Ukraine and of the State of Israel.

Pursuant to Article 9 of the Agreement it enters into force ninety (90) days after the date of receiving through diplomatic channels of the last written notification regarding the fulfillment by the Parties of their internal procedures necessary for its entry into force.

In the course of the meeting the Sides also discussed the current issues of the Ukrainian-Israeli cooperation in various spheres.
