Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostyantyn Gryshchenko met British Minister for Europe David Lidington on 13 October 2010.
The parties underlined the importance of deepening bilateral political high-level dialogue and discussed preparation of the official visit of the President of Ukraine to the United Kingdom.
The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues related to the European integration of Ukraine. Special attention was paid to British support of those elements in the negotiation process on Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU that are of particular significance to our country. In this context Foreign Minister Gryshchenko stressed the importance of confirming European perspective for Ukraine and providing a widest possible access to the EU single market in the framework of deep and comprehensive free trade area.
The talks focused also on further development of interaction in migration sphere, particularly on resuming negotiations on visa liberalization regime between the two countries.
