On December 9, 2015 the 27^th session of the National Commission of Ukraine for Foreign-Based Ukrainians took place in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The National Commission of Ukraine for Foreign-Based Ukrainians which includes the representatives of the legislative authorities and non-government organizations examined 127 applications for obtaining the status of the Foreign-Based Ukrainian.

According to the decisions endorsed at the meeting the status of the Foreign-Based Ukrainian was given to 118 persons from 23 countries of the world.

In the framework of the session the members of the National Commission discussed  the realization of the decisions of the 26^th session of the Commission as well as the amendments to the Order of execution and issue of the Foreign-Based Ukrainian’s certificate. The changes were endorsed by the Act of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated October 28, 2015 №855.   

The abovementioned Act determines in particular the order of re-registration of expired Foreign-Based Ukrainian’s certificates and establishes the new application form for obtaining this status.
