The Ukrainian-Turkish bilateral consultations on security and political issues were held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine at the level of the Political Directors on December 8, 2015.
The parties discussed prospects of bilateral relations, as well as agreed to intensify efforts to implement large-scale projects in strategically important areas.
Interlocutors also outlined the bilateral action plan for the near future in the context of preparations for the meeting of the Ukraine –Turkey High Level Strategic Council co-chaired by the Presidents of the two countries.
The issues of regional agenda, the situation in the Middle East and the Black Sea basin were tackled in detail.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry's representatives confirmed full support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
It was agreed to strengthen cooperation on human rights monitoring in Crimea, as well as interaction within international organizations.
