On 22 September, 2010 in the Republic of India (New Delhi) was held the 8th round of the political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and India. The Ukrainian delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine H.E. Mr. Viktor Mayko and the Indian delegation – by the Secretary (East), Ministry of External Affairs of India H.E. Ms. Vijaya Latha Reddy.

During the consultations a number of issues, particularly on the development of political dialogue including the present state and prospects of Ukrainian – Indian relations development as well as the international issues of current importance were discussed.

The Sides have agreed further steps towards expanditure of the legal base of bilateral relations as well as creation the reliable mechanism of the agreements fulfillment control. A special attention was paid to the prospects of the Ukrainian – Indian cooperation in the spheres of mutual interest.
