On February 1, 2010 the First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Volodymyr Khandogiy met with the Ambassador of the United States to Ukraine John F.Tefft.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the development of the relations of Strategic Partnership between Ukraine and the United States.

At the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged thoughts on the current international issues, including the UN consideration of the Iranian nuclear dossier.

Volodymyr Khandogiy and John F.Tefft expressed the interest of both sides in holding consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the U.S. Department of State concerning Ukraine-U.S. interaction within international organizations.

The parties also discussed the possibilities of enhancing cooperation between Ukraine and the United States in the framework of the UNESCO.
