Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. Petro Poroshenko met Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg Mr. Jean Asselborn in the framework of the London Conference on Afghanistan.

During the meeting the ministers discussed topical issues of relations between Ukraine and Luxembourg, means of intensification of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, deepening of interaction in the framework of international organizations. Special attention was also paid to the agenda of bilateral dialogue in 2010.

The Sides exchanged views on the priority issues of Ukraine-EU cooperation. When discussing visa and migration issues P.Poroshenko emphasized the importance of further liberalization of visa regime between Ukraine and the European Union as well as progressive development of elaboration of the EU-Ukraine roadmap on visa free regime.

Responding to the interest of his counterpart the Ukrainian Minister informed about current internal political situation in Ukraine and perspectives of economic growth.

Jean Asselborn welcomed democratic and free elections on 17th of January.
