On August 3, 2010 H. E. Yevhen Mykytenko, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine, received copies of Credentials from H.E. Mr. Ahmed Nawaz Saleem Mela, new Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Ukraine.

In the course of the meeting the parties discussed the current state and prospects of the development of the Ukrainian – Pakistani relations, in particular trade-economic cooperation and further steps for expanding the legal base of the bilateral interaction as well as the exchanges of the visits between two countries.

Yevhen Mykytenko expressed condolences to the families of those who died in the passenger aircraft crash which occurred near Islamabad on the 28 th of July 2010 as well as to all the victims of long lasting floods in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan which caused deaths of huge number of people as well as the destruction in Pakistan.
