Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin paid a working visit to Washington D.C.
On April 23-25, 2012 Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin was on a working visit to Washington D.C. He headed Ukraine’s delegation to the meeting of the Ukraine-U.S. Working Group on Non-proliferation and Export Control.
While on a visit, Mr. Klimkin held meetings with U.S. congressmen, representatives of the Department of State, U.S. National Security Council, and Foreign Service Institute officials.
Also, Pavlo Klimkin discussed pressing international issues and Ukraine – U.S. cooperation prospects with leading Washington D.C. foreign policy analysts, experts on Ukraine, at a round table in the Brookings Institution.
At a briefing held in the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe (also known as the U.S. Helsinki Commission) Mr. Klimkin informed about Ukraine’s preparatory work for its presidency in the OSCE in 2013 as well as elections to the Parliament of Ukraine this October.
