The meeting took place on April 27, 2012 in Lima within the framework of the official visit by Ukrainian Foreign Minister to Peru.

Issues of bilateral cooperation in aviation and space industry, humanitarian, educational and other fields were discussed. Both Ministers agreed to foster enhancement of legal basis for further development of Ukrainian-Peruvian relations.

Special attention was attached to trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and Peru. In this regard Foreign Ministers expressed their support to initiatives aimed at further increase of bilateral trade volumes as well as confirmed their intention to carry out the second session of Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation in 2012 in Kyiv. 

Kostyantyn Gryshchenko and Rafael Roncagliolo exchanged views on other important matters such as cooperation on international arena, Latin America regional integration process, global economy and its influence on Ukraine and Peru, domestic political and economic affairs in the two countries.

After the meeting the Ministers signed the Joint Statement and spoke with the representatives of Peruvian media.
