On July 15, 2010 Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko received the Ambassador of Palestine to Ukraine Mr. Halid Aricat.

Palestinian Ambassador briefed the Deputy Minister on present state of the Middle East peace process, in particular on the developments in the indirect Palestinian-Israeli negotiations and on international peacekeeping efforts aimed at the promoting the peace process.

The Sides discussed the issues of the bilateral cooperation, in particular the visit to Ukraine of the delegation of the Palestinian businessmen for the participation in the Ukrainian-Arabic business-forum, which is to take place in October this year in Kiev.

The prospects of the intensification of the cooperation in economic and educational sphere were also considered.
