On July 6, 2010 Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr.Oleksandr Horin met Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine Mr.A.B.Meric.

During the meeting the sides confirmed the mutual interest in holding the official visit of Prime-minister of the Republic of Turkey R.T.Erdoğan to Ukraine and the First meeting of High Level Strategic Council between Ukraine and Turkey within the framework of the visit.

The issues of development of trade cooperation between two countries as well as the facilitation of the mutual trips regime for the citizens of both countries were also raised. Special attention was paid to the issues of cooperation in the sphere of security and stability in the Black Sea region, in particular within the framework of the initiative «BLACKSEAFOR».
