In the framework of his working visit to the Repulic of Croatia, Minister for Foreign Affairs Kostyantyn Gryshchenko met with Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia Vesna Pusić.
The sides have discussed promoting political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation, liberalization of visa regulations, etc.
In particular, the parties agreed to resume the work of the Ukrainian-Croatian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and hold its regular meeting in the autumn of this year, which is an important means of boosting investment cooperation.
Minister Pusić confirmed Croatia’s readiness to make sure that visa regulations for Ukrainian travelers after the country joins the EU are the most favorable.
The Ministers discussed the countries’ bilateral cooperation in the area of European integration. Minister Pusić said that Croatia, which would become the 28th EU member country on July 1, 2013, actively supports Ukraine’s European aspirations. The sides agreed to share with each other their practical experience in implementing European standards.
Also, the Croatian Minister of Foreign Affairs accepted with gratitude Ukrainian Foreign Minister’s invitation to visit Kyiv.
