On October 28th, 2016 the Minister of Foreign Economy and Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Szijjarto paid a working visit to Ukraine. The visit programme included face-to-face meeting with the Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, the negotiations in the extended format. Hungarian minister was also hosted by the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Kistion.
During the talks the sides exchanged views on a number of topical issues of bilateral nature, including preparations for the implementation of priority infrastructure projects on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border, including the construction of access roads, opening of new crossing points, implementation of joint customs and border control.
The ministers also discussed the course of preparations for the official visit of Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman to Hungary.
Within the framework of the visit the foreign ministers of Ukraine and Hungary signed a plan of bilateral consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Economy and Foreign Affairs of Hungary for 2017-2018.
