On the 31 October 2016, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Turkey held political consultations at the level of the directors of the territorial departments.

The Ukrainian and Turkish sides discussed the number of issues of bilateral agenda including political dialogue, cooperation in the spheres of trade, economy, energy, security and defense industry as well as bilateral cultural relations and cooperation in the field of education.

Special attention was paid to the situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, including Crimea, as well as security issues in the Black Sea region.

The Turkish side reaffirmed its entire support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The Sides agreed on the draft Consultations Plan between the two ministries for 2017 – 2018.
