First in bilateral history Ukrainian–Japanese consultations in the field of cyber security strengthening were held in Kiev on 21 December 2016. Japanese Delegation, headed by Ambassador-at-large H.E.Mr. Koichi Mitzushima, has familiarized Ukrainian colleagues from the competent State Authorities with Japan’s achievements in monitoring and neutralizing of the cyber incidents, as well as with the Japanese National Strategy in the cyber security domain.

Parties have also discussed major contemporary strategies and tendencies in the field of cyber security, basic mechanisms of its reinforcement, including further perspective directions of bilateral Ukraine-Japan cooperation on this important issue.
