On the 9th of August Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Viсtor Mayko received the copies of the credentials from designated Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Estonian Republic to Ukraine Lauri Lepik.
During the meeting special attention was paid to the issue of deepening the political dialogue, in particular, by organizing of the official visit of Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko to Estonia this October.
The both parties also have stressed the importance of holding the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Estonian Commission on trade-economic and scientific cooperation in Kyiv.
The Estonian Ambassador confirmed the readiness of his country to continue active support of Ukraine’s aspirations to join the EU, particularly, in the context of concluding the Association Agreement with the establishment of Free Trade Area and the introduction of visa free regime for Ukrainian citizens.
Deputy Minister Victor Mayko wished the new Head of the diplomatic mission of Estonia to Ukraine success in fulfilling his demanding duties.
