On the 18th of August on the eve of V World Forum of Ukrainians (19-21 of August), First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Ruslan Demchenko held a ray of meetings with the representatives of the Ukrainians living abroad organizations, including those living in the USA, Italy, Spain, the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Estonia, the Azerbaijan Republic, who arrived to Kyiv to participate at the Forum.

During the meetings the directions of cooperation between the Ukrainian state and the Ukrainians living abroad have been discussed, including improvement of the legislation at these sphere, protection of the interests of the Ukrainians living abroad, gratification of their national and cultural, educational, linguistic and informational needs, work on the draft project of the State Program on Cooperation with the Ukrainians living abroad for the period till the year 2015 as well as other issues of interest for the Ukrainians living abroad.
