On 20 March 2018, the meeting between the State Secretary of the MFA of Ukraine Andriy Zayats and HR-director of the MFA of Sweden Lena Nordström and the Ambassador of Sweden to Ukraine Martin Hagström, took place at the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The purpose of the meeting was to exchange relevant experience in staffing foreign services of both countries through competitive selection.

Lena Nordström informed about the procedures and terms of recruitment competition, stages of candidates selection for diplomatic positions, shared her experience of cooperation with the Candidates Assessment Center and requirements for staff interviewing, participation of civil society in those processes.

In his turn, Andriy Zayats informed about the public service reform in Ukraine, shared his personal experience of participation in the competitive selection for the current position as well as told about the procedures of conducting competitive selection for diplomatic positions in the MFA of Ukraine.

The Swedish Side positively estimated the innovative approaches applied by the MFA of Ukraine in staff competitive recruitment.
