On 25 July State Secretary of the MFA of Ukraine Andriy Zayats received Ambassador Luc Jacobs on the occasion of completion of his diplomatic mission in Ukraine.

The diplomats expressed satisfaction with the state of the bilateral relations. They particularly noted the increasing trade performance between Ukraine and Belgium as well as sustainable promoting of investment partnership and business links.

During the meeting they also noted the necessity of further maintaining the bilateral political dialogue and interaction within the framework of international organizations, primarily considering the membership of Belgium in the UN Security Council in 2019-2020.

State Secretary Andriy Zayats expressed profound gratitude for the consistent and unwavering support by Belgium of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within a context of Russian aggression and temporary occupation of certain territories of our state.

State Secretary wished the Ambassador success in the future activities.
