Оn December 20, 2018 Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasyl Bodnar met with the delegation of the Egypt-Ukraine Friendship Group in the House of Representatives of the Arab Republic of Egypt. 

The Egyptian delegation was headed by the President for the Local Governance Committee of the House of Representatives of Egypt Mr. Ahmed El Segini. This is the first ever visit of Egyptian parliamentarians to Ukraine as an independent state.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of Ukrainian – Egyptian cooperation in political, trade, economic, investment and other areas of mutual interest.

Vasyl Bodnar highlighted a significant intensification of the political dialogue and intergovernmental contacts between Ukraine and Egypt, and also stressed the importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation first of all within the framework of the Egypt-Ukraine Friendship Group.
