On April 15, 2019 Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergiy Kyslytsya held political consultations with Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Ahmad al-Hamadi.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged their views on the present state and prospects of Ukrainian-Qatari cooperation, topical issues on the regional and global agenda.

The interlocutors positively assessed the activation of political contacts, progress in trade and economic cooperation and interaction within the UN and other international organizations. They paid particular attention to the development of bilateral legal basis.

On the sidelines of the political consultations, the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar was signed.
