On May 21, 2019, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on European Integration Olena Zerkal hold the meeting with Ambassador of Finland Juha Virtanen on the occasion of completion of his diplomatic mission in Ukraine.

During the meeting the parties noted the high level of the Ukrainian-Finnish relations and emphasized the importance of deepening bilateral cooperation, in particular in the context of Finland's EU Presidency starting from July 1, 2019.

Olena Zerkal expressed appreciation Finland’s practical support to Ukraine in conducting systematic reforms, especially in energy efficiency and secondary education system improvement, and wished the Ambassador success in his further professional career.
