During the meeting several current issues of bilateral security cooperation have been discussed, specifically with respect to the U.S. assistance to strengthen capabilities of Ukraine`s security and defense sector and to facilitate Ukrainian defense industry reforms. Particular attention was payed to improving coordination in curbing aggressive actions of the Russian Federation, including modalities of possible future monitoring mission in the Black Sea region, as well as to strengthening bilateral cooperation in cybersecurity.

Yehor Bozhok briefed American delegation on the situation in the area of the Joint Forces Operation, on Ukraine`s efforts to disengage forces in the vicinity of Stanytsa Luhanska, releasing Ukrainian sailors illegally detained in the Russian Federation, and resolving pending issues of Ukraine-Hungary agenda.
