The United States supports reform of Ukrainian defense industry

To further develop the relations of strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States Administration of the U.S. President Donald Trump established new position - the U.S. Senior Defence Industry Advisor on Ukraine and appointed former United States Secretary of the Navy Donald Winter to serve in this capaсity.
On 8 August 2019 Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yehor Bozhok received Dr. Donald Winter during his visit to Ukraine.
Mr. Ye. Bozhok and Dr. D. Winter discussed in detail the progress in security and defence sectors reform, primarily the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the national defence industry, preparation for financial audit of the State Concern “Ukroboronprom”. Both Sides outlined the further plans and promising projects of future interaction between Ukraine and the U.S. in order to implement the most advanced NATO standards in the mentioned areas.
