On September 24, 2019, on the sidelines of the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko met Foreign Ministers of Australia, Belgium, Malaysia, and the Netherlands, to discuss further joint steps to bring those responsible for the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 to justice.
The meeting parties praised the progress made into the investigation, i.a. the announcement of the names of first suspects as well as the fact that the hearings in the case are to begin in the Netherlands in March 2020.
The Ministers also reaffirmed their countries' commitment to investigate the crime of downing of MH17 and bring justice for those who perished.
