During the meeting, high representatives of the Foreign Ministries of two countries discussed the conclusion of a new Agreement between Ukraine and the UK, which, after Brexit, will replace the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement in bilateral relations.

Vasyl Bodnar thanked his British counterpart for UK’s firm political support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and for practical assistance both in strengthening the defence capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and in carrying out reforms in our country.

The parties agreed that the future Agreement should correspond to the current level of bilateral dialogue and include provisions reflecting the strategic nature of cooperation in political and security matters.
