Ukraine closely follows the development of military operation by the Turkish Armed Forces in North Eastern Syria.

It should be reminded that the conflict in Syria has been lasting for years. One of the main reasons for inability to put an end to the sufferings of the peoples in Syria is the position of the countries that support the Bashar al-Asad regime and block the corresponding resolutions by the UN Security Council.

We expect that the UN Security Council and its members including all the parties concerned and Turkey, will consider this issues at the announced for today session and adopt the decisions that will contribute to resolving the security and humanitarian problems within the international legal framework
