"Ukraine and Austria are united by longstanding friendship, close partnership and active economic and cultural cooperation"- stressed Federal Minister for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria Alexander Schallenberg during the negotiations on November 14 with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko.
The negotiations between the Foreign Ministers were preceded by a joint laying of flowers at the Memorial Wall in honor of the soldiers who died defending Ukraine from the Russian aggressor.
The Ministers stated their interest in further active engagement in political, economic and investment spheres. Against the backdrop of dynamic and successful internal reforms, the Ukrainian market is increasingly attracting Austrian investors. The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine drew attention to Austria's considerable experience in the field of forest fund restoration and expressed Ukraine's interest in borrowing it in terms of practical assistance in reforms. The parties praised the numerous activities within the crossyear of Ukrainian culture in Austria and, accordingly, Austrian culture in Ukraine.
Vadim Prystaiko briefed the Austrian Minister on Ukraine's approaches to diplomatic settlement of the Donbas conflict caused by Russian aggression.
