On the margins of the 26th OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Bratislava, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko met with Czech Foreign Minister Tomaš Petříček.
The parties discussed the prospects of further development of bilateral political dialogue, including at a high level. In particular, they touched upon the main aspects of the upcoming visit of the Foreign Minister of Ukraine to the Czech Republic (4-5 February 2020), an exchange of visits at the level of Heads of Parliaments of both states, as well as the cooperation in the "Visegrad Four + Ukraine" format.
Agenda of the meeting also included the issues of arrangement of the First meeting of Ukrainian-Czech Expert Forum in Prague and preparation of the 9-th session of Ukrainian-Czech Joint Commission on Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.
Minister Tomaš Petříček confirmed Czech support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, non-recognition of illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia and the need to continue sanctions pressure on Russia.
