July 5, 2011 - Strasbourg hosted informal high level consultations with the participation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Chairman of the CE Committee of Ministers Kostyantyn Gryshchenko, the CE Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland. and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton.

In the meeting the parties discussed the issue of coordination of the Organizations ' steps in solving urgent problems of modern Europe, in particular, the Transnistrian conflict settlement, the political situation in Belarus, the results of local elections in Albania, and the political crisis they caused.The parties also touched upon the issue of the CE and the EU Neighbourhood Policy and identified key elements to coordinate in this sphere.
