Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine K.Gryshchenko met Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland E.Gilmore in the framework of the 6th ministerial conference of the Community of Democracies held in Vilnius on 1 July 2011.
The discussion focused on enhancing bilateral trade and economic cooperation. The Ministers expressed satisfaction with finalization of negotiations on bilateral Convention on Avoidance of Double Taxation. Some practical steps aimed at facilitation of business contacts were discussed during the meeting.
The parties outlined main priorities of interaction in the context of forthcoming Chairmanship of the OSCE of Ireland (2012) and Ukraine (2013).
Mr. K.Gryshchenko and Mr. E.Gilmore confirmed their commitment to further deepen political and economic ties between the two countries. Mr K.Gryshchenko has invited his Irish counterpart to pay a visit to Ukraine.
