On 27-28 May 2012 the Ukrainian delegation headed by the Special Representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa Yevgen Mykytenko visited Amman

During the visit Yevgen Mykytenko met with the Speaker of the Senate of the National Assembly of Jordan Taher Masri. The Ambassador of Ukraine to Jordan Sergiy Pasko took part in the meeting.

During the meeting the issues of the Ukrainian-Jordanian cooperation in the parliamentary field were discussed. The Ukrainian side was informed on the activities of the Jordanian-Ukrainian Friendship Commttee, which was established in the Lower House of the Jordanian parliament. On his part, the Special Representative of Ukraine underlined the necessity of the exchanging visits between the parliament delegations of Ukraine and Jordan.

The Ukrainian delegation visited the Information Center "Euro 2012-Huttar” which was established in Amman under assistance of the Embassy of Ukraine. Yevgen Mykytenko was informed on the activities of the Information Center, in particular, on the schedule of the European Championship games and the plan of special events, which will be organized by the Embassy of Ukraine to present the "Euro-2012".

At the request of the Embassy the company "Ukrainian-Mediterranean Airlines" offered twenty tickets to Ukraine for free during the Championship, which will be drawn by the two largest Jordanian FM (“Rotana” and “FAN”). These FM will regularly broadcast the championship matches. Besides, “Huttar” will offer 20% discount for the citizens of Ukraine who will choose this place to watch the "Euro 2012" matches.
