The meeting dealt with the issues of cooperation with the Venice Cooperation. The parties discussed in detail the process of implementation of reforms in Ukraine, in particular in the constitutional sphere, touched on the judicial reform and combating corruption.

Gianni Buquicchio told the Minister about his meeting with President Viktor Yanukovych on the same day, giving his high assessment of the pro-European policy of the Ukrainian Head of State.

Minister noted the weighty contribution of the Venice Commission into ensuring the correspondence of the Ukrainian legislation to the European standards.

The Head of the Venice Commission expressed his readiness for further close cooperation and expert assistance to the Ukrainian government in reform implementation.
