Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a constructive call with my German friend and colleague Johann Wadephul.
We exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East and expressed solidarity with the countries of the region that have come under Iranian attacks.
I emphasized that, despite Russia's ongoing energy terror, Ukraine has held firm. We went through the most difficult winter of the war, and spring has arrived. This means that Russia's efforts to break us down through darkness and cold have failed.
We are grateful to Germany for defeating Russian winter terror together with us.
I updated my colleague on the battlefield situation, noting that Ukraine has recently begun to liberate more of its territory than Russia is occupying.
I thanked my German counterpart for reaffirming that Ukraine remains in focus despite the intense developments in the Middle East. We greatly appreciate Germany's steadfast solidarity and comprehensive support.
We coordinated our bilateral agenda, discussed the next steps in Ukraine's path to joining the EU, and agreed to maintain close contact".
