On February 16, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Melnyk held an online meeting with the State Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Jamaica, member of the Senate Leslie Campbell.

Andrii Melnyk informed the interlocutor about the current situation in Ukraine in terms of countering Russia's full-scale aggression.

The Deputy Head of the Foreign Minister expressed gratitude to the Jamaican side for supporting Ukraine within the UN and OAS, and for condemning Russian invasion.

Leslie Campbell confirmed Jamaica's principal support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Andrii Melnyk informed the Minister of State about the key directions of the Peace Formula initiated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, calling on the Jamaican side to join the implementation of the mentioned initiative, as well as to support a draft resolution of the UN General Assembly "Principles underlying a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine".

The interlocutors agreed to continue active interaction in order to support the initiatives of both countries within the UN, to activate the political dialogue at the highest level, as well as to intensify trade relations.

Andrii Melnyk invited State Minister Leslie Campbell to visit Ukraine.
