On February 16, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Mantas Adomenas.

Yevhen Perebyinis congratulated his Lithuanian colleague on the 105th anniversary of the restoration of the State of Lithuania and expressed his gratitude for unwavering solidarity with Ukraine and comprehensive support of Ukraine in confronting the aggressor state. The Deputy Minister separately emphasized that Ukraine highly appreciates the unprecedented military-technical, financial and humanitarian assistance of Vilnius to defeat the aggressor and protect the democratic values common for our peoples.

Mantas Adomenas assured that Lithuania will continue to comprehensively support Ukraine in the confrontation with the aggressor, as well as on the path of our country to the EU and NATO membership.

Yevhen Perebyinis and Mantas Adomenas paid special attention to the coordination of joint steps of foreign ministries in the matter of Ukraine's EU membership, preparation for the Vilnius NATO summit, as well as further interaction in the format of the Lublin Triangle and activation of work within the framework of the intergovernmental Ukrainian-Lithuanian commission.

The interlocutors reached an agreement on close cooperation with the aim of increasing the EU sanctions pressure on russia, implementing of the most powerful 10th package of EU sanctions as soon as possible, launching the work of the Special International Tribunal on the crime of russian aggression against Ukraine, as well as deepening the cooperation between Ukraine and Lithuania in international organizations.
