Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a call with my Lithuanian friend and colleague Kęstutis Budrys. 

I briefed him on the battlefield situation, the consequences of Russia’s continued terror against Ukraine, and our most urgent defence needs. Russia continues to escalate its attacks, and strengthening Ukraine’s ability to protect its people remains critical.

We discussed the latest dynamics of peace efforts. Ukraine remains committed to achieving a comprehensive and lasting peace. Decisions about peace and the future of European security require Europe’s full political weight, capabilities, and direct involvement. Effective diplomacy also requires sufficient pressure on Russia to move it toward peace rather than further escalation.

We paid particular attention to the situation in the Black Sea, where Russia continues to attack ports, civilian vessels, and freedom of navigation. We discussed the steps needed to counter these threats, protect maritime routes, and ensure safe and free navigation in the Black Sea.

We exchanged views on further developing regional cooperation and strengthening security across our region. Ukraine and Lithuania share a clear understanding of the threats we face and the need for closer coordination in responding to them.
