Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a productive meeting with my Canadian colleague Anita Anand.  

I thanked Canada for its steadfast support and leadership in the return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia. 

I briefed my colleague on the current battlefield situation, progress in the peace efforts, and Russia’s continued attacks against civilians, including deliberate strikes aimed at destroying our energy infrastructure during the coldest period of winter. 

We discussed strengthening Ukraine’s energy resilience and defense capabilities, particularly air defense. I also underscored the importance of imposing entry bans across partner countries on all participants of Russian aggression against Ukraine. 

A special focus was the upcoming summit on the return of Ukrainian children. This track remains a top priority — Ukrainian children must be brought home as soon as possible.
