On June 26, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with Park Ki-chang, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine.

The two sides focused primarily on preparations for Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha’s visit to the Republic of Korea, scheduled for June 29–30, 2026, and on the substantive agenda for the upcoming talks with the Republic of Korea’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to using the upcoming visit to elevate the Ukrainian-Korean partnership to a new level, intensify political dialogue at high and the highest levels, and deepen practical cooperation in the areas of trade, investment, innovation, Ukraine’s reconstruction, humanitarian projects, and cutting-edge technologies.

“Ukraine highly values the Republic of Korea’s unwavering support and considers it one of its key partners in Asia. I expect that my upcoming visit to Seoul will open up new opportunities for the development of political dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries,” Andrii Sybiha emphasized.

The minister specifically noted the Republic of Korea’s significant contribution to strengthening Ukraine’s resilience, providing humanitarian aid, and supporting the reconstruction of our country amid ongoing Russian aggression.

The interlocutors also discussed the current security situation, in particular the challenges posed by the deepening military cooperation between Russia and North Korea, which poses a threat to both European and Indo-Pacific security.a
