Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "This morning from MFA of Ukraine, which is now operating on a backup power generator, I joined an online-meeting with my transatlantic colleagues from the United Kingdom Yvette Cooper; Canada Anita Anand; Finland Elina Valtonen; Norway Espen Barth Eide; the Netherlands David van Weel; and France’s Minister Delegate for European Affairs, Benjamin Haddad
The main topic was the emergency energy situation in Ukraine caused by Russian strikes and the urgent assistance from partners to help restore power and heating for Ukrainians.
On the ground in Kyiv, we are coordinating international support 24/7. Essential assistance is already arriving.
With our partners, we also discussed new packages of defense and financial support.
We discussed peace efforts and the situation on the battlefield. I updated my colleagues.
The Ukrainian negotiating team is actively working with the Americans in Davos. There is a chance to speed up the peace process. Ukraine is ready. Ukrainians deserve peace.
Thanked to my colleagues for their personal commitment and urgent help by their countries in such a difficult situation for Ukraine and Europe, as well as for keeping the Ukrainian flag on top of international agenda."
