On October 10, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha held talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine with the UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al Hashimy.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between Ukraine and the UAE in the political, economic, humanitarian, and technological spheres.
Minister Sybiha briefed on the situation on the battlefield, Russia’s shelling, and Ukraine’s peace efforts. He expressed gratitude to the UAE for its support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for the significant humanitarian assistance provided to the Ukrainian people since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
Key topics of the talks included joint initiatives in the areas of humanitarian assistance, energy resilience, and the reconstruction of Ukraine’s infrastructure with the support of Emirati partners.
Special attention was given to the implementation of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between Ukraine and the UAE, which opens new opportunities for expanding trade, investment, and innovative cooperation. The parties also discussed preparations for the Fourth Meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukraine-UAE Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, scheduled for early 2026.
For her part, Minister of State Reem Al Hashimy reaffirmed the UAE’s readiness to continue strengthening cooperation with Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of dialogue, partnership, and long-term collaboration between the two countries.
